This class explores how to choose the right dog for your lifestyle and how to properly care for your pet. Topics include: breed specific characteristics, grooming needs, exercise requirements, tips on searching for your new pet, and much more!

Foster Care for Orphaned Kittens
Love animals?  Can you lend a temporary hand?  Learn what it takes to provide a temporary home for a litter of kittens – necessary supplies, feeding and care techniques, and more.  Napa Humane partners with Whiskers, Tails & Ferals (a Napa County non-profit organization serving feral or abandoned cats) for this fantastic class.

Kitty Connection – Choosing the Right Cat for Your Lifestyle
This class explores how to choose the right cat for your lifestyle and how to properly care for your pet kitten(s)/cat(s).  Topics include – tips on selecting your new cat/kitten, necessary supplies, medical care, managing behaviors before they become problems, and more.

Preparing Pets for the Arrival of a New Baby
The purpose of this class is to educate parents-to-be about the best ways to make an impending birth easier on the family pet, and vice-versa.  We’ll discuss pet manners and training, offer tips on preparing the pet for all of the changes that a baby brings including the smells, sounds, toys, changes in routine, etc., as well as health and safety concerns.

Safety Around Dogs and Cats
Every year, more than 4 million people in the United States are bitten by dogs. Over 60% of those bitten are children under the age of 12.  This class teaches children how to be safe around dogs and cats as well as what to do if approached by a stray dog.
