Making the decision to adopt a pet is an exciting time to be sure.  We hope that before you bring a new pet into your life that you take a moment to examine your life just to make sure that you are ready for the responsibilities that a pet will bring – please see "Is This the Right Time to Adopt" and "Choosing the Right Pet" for my family and attend "Bunny Basics", "Canine Connection", or "Kitty Connection".   Once the time is right and you have an idea as to the characteristics in a pet that you are looking for, it is time to start searching for that pet.  Below are links to the Napa County Animal Shelter, Napa County rescue groups and regional animal shelters.
